"Interesting little berries. The flavour pops open in these moist fruits with a deal of presence. Sweet and sour and zingy and fun. Fab!"
"A lovely citrus twang - lively and very fresh tasting - there are hints of fig here, rosehips and sultanas. Very enjoyable, interesting little berries which would be wonderful with cheese. Natural and very hinest in flavour."
Incan, or Golden berries are the fruit of a plant which grows naturally in the Amazon region of South America. Sevenhills Wholefoods Incan Berries are sourced from Peru, which is their supposed origin. Once regarded as “The Lost fruit of the Incas”, it is a small fruit with a glossy orange-yellow skin, surrounded by papery protective leaves, that has long been part of local diets thanks to its delicious flavour and nutritious qualities. Sevenhills Wholefoods’ berries are rich in dietary fibre and Pectin, and is a great source of several vitamins and minerals. The berries’ high phosphorus, calcium and vitamins A, C, B1, B2, B6 and B12 content help our bodies regulate energy, support proper development and health in bones and teeth, help cell membranes function correctly and assist with efficient muscle repair. The rich antioxidant content within the berries also helps to fight against oxidative stress damage caused on cells, hence the product is often found in many detox diets. My new favourite snack. These little berries pack a fab sweet / sour punch. Feels like eating sour sweets but totally natural, healthy and organic too. My 1 year old is also a big fan.

Oh, wow! These berries are out of this world!! The taste is just so powerful - can't describe it very well, but they're sharp and fruity and it's a more complex flavour than most fruits or berries. I call them zing berries. After a soak to rehydrate them they plump up a bit and the flavour comes out even more. You can buy the fresh Physalis berries, but they don't taste anything like as strong as these.
