"This oil has a creamy texture and the coconut aroma is really intense. The taste is very light and neutral, not overwhelming, and the mouthfeel is really pleasant. The palate does not feel oily and there is a clean aftertaste. We were unsure if the flavour was too delicate, assuming consumers might be hoping for a coconut-oil flavour addition to their dish. But, overall, the neutral flavour makes this a useful oil to be used in baking, where the flavour does not want to be too strong. The product comes across as being natural.

Snow white in cold form and with beautiful clarity when melted, this oil has an aroma that, particularly when cold, is delightful – not overpowering but with a remarkable freshness that also transmits to the palate. The cold oil melts readily on the palate, and again the meld of flavours and aromas feels fresh and bright, with a pleasing delicacy. A delightful example.

Sevenhills Wholefoods’ Extra Virgin Coconut Oil is sourced from Sri Lanka, which has the ideal conditions for coconuts to flourish, with tropical, coastal areas with high temperatures and humidity levels. Our supplier uses only fresh and young coconuts to obtain the premium quality virgin coconut oil.

Processing

Our Organic Coconuts are picked and the coconut 'meat' is extracted. The meat is then pressed and filtered to create our Raw Virgin Coconut Oil.

Suggested Use

Coconut Oil can actually be used as a natural moisturiser or hair product, however traditionally we have recommended its use in cooking, baking and frying, or adding to smoothies, protein shakes or salad dressings.

We now provide this great product in a 500ml plastic tub. Made from HDPE 2 plastic, it is considered one of the safest for food items and can be widely recycled.
